Zinc trifluoromethanesulfonate acts as a catalyst for the preparation of dithioketals. It is used as a Lewis acid catalyst in silylation reactions. It is also used as a catalyst for greener amine synthesis by reductive amination with hydrogen gas.

Zink Trifluormethansulfonat dient als Katalysator für die Herstellung von Dithioketalen. Verwendung als Lewis-Säure-Katalysator bei Silylierungsreaktionen. Verwendung auch als Katalysator bei der Greener-Synthese von Aminen durch reduktive Aminierung mit Wasserstoffgas verwendet.
Löslichkeit
Löslich in Wasser und Acetonitril. Schwer löslich in Methanol. Nicht löslich in Dichlormethan.
Hinweise
Hygroskopisch. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln und Säuren.
