Tritolyl phosphate, mixture of isomers is used as plasticizer in nitrocellulose, acrylate lacquers, and in polyvinyl chloride. It is a fire retardant for plastics and rubbers. air filter medium, solvent mixtures and heat exchange medium. It is employed as a gasoline additive and as a lead scavenger for tetraethyllead. Further, it acts as a solvent for extraction, especially for nitrocellulose and polymers. In addition to this, it is used for the waterproofing of materials, an antiwear and extreme pressure additive in lubricants and hydraulic fluids.

Anwendungen
Tritolylphosphat, die Isomer-Mischung wird als Weichmacher in Nitrocellulose, Acrylatlacken und Polyvinylchlorid verwendet. Es ist ein feuerhemmendes Mittel für Kunststoffe und Gummi. Luftfiltermedium, Lösungsmittelgemische und Wärmetauschmedium. Es wird als Benzin-Additiv und Bleifänger für Tetraethyllead eingesetzt. Darüber hinaus dient es als Lösungsmittel zur Extraktion, insbesondere von Nitrocellulose und Polymeren. Darüber hinaus wird es zur Abdichtung von Materialien, einem Verschleißschutz- und Hochdruckzusatzstoff in Schmierstoffen und Hydraulikflüssigkeiten verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit gängigen organischen Lösungsmitteln. Nicht mit Wasser mischbar.

Hinweise
Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln, Schwefelsäure, Ätzstoffen, Ammoniak, aliphatischen Aminen, Alkanolaminen, Isocyanaten, Alkylenoxiden, Epichlorhydrin und Nitromethan.
