Used in TLC to stain alpha-keto acidsThiosemicarbazide is used as a reagent for ketones as well as chemical intermediate. It is involved in the detection of metals. It is also used in photography. Further, it is effective for controlling bacterial leaf blight in rice. In addition to this, it is used to prepare 1,3,4-thiadiazoles.

Anwendungen
Wird in TLC zur Färbung von Alpha-Keto-Säuren verwendet. Thiosemicarbazid wird als Reagenz für Ketone sowie chemische Zwischenprodukte verwendet. Ist an der Detektion von Metallen beteiligt. Wird auch in der Fotografie verwendet. Darüber hinaus ist es wirksam für die Kontrolle bakterieller Blatttrübung bei Reis. Darüber hinaus wird es zur Herstellung von 1,3,4-Thiadiazolen verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Wasser, Ethanol, Alkoholen und heißem Methanol.

Hinweise
Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln, starken Säuren und starken Basen.
