Tetraisopropyl methylenediphosphonate is used in the preparation of AZT 5’-Triphosphate compounds which display inhibitory effects on HIV-1 reverse transcrpitase. It is also used in the preparation of E2-bisphosphonate conjugates.

Anwendungen
Tetraisopropylmethylenbisphosphonat wird bei der Herstellung von AZT 5'-Triphosphatverbindungen verwendet, die hemmende Effekte auf die reverse Transkriptase von HIV-1 zeigen. Wird zudem bei der Herstellung von E2-Bisphosphonat-Konjugaten verwendet.
