tert-Butyl acetate is used as a solvent in the production of lacquers, enamels, inks, adhesives, thinners, industrial cleaners and coating blends It is also used as a process solvent for chemical reactions and polymerization. In synthetic organic chemistry, it is used as a tert-butyl group. It serves as an intermediate in the production of pharmaceuticals and synthetic flavorings.

Anwendungen
tert-Butylacetat wird als Lösungsmittel bei der Herstellung von Lacken, Emaillen, Farben, Klebstoffen, Verdünnern, Industriereinigern und Beschichtungsmischungen verwendet; wird auch als Prozesslösungsmittel für chemische Reaktionen und Polymerisation verwendet. Wird in der synthetischen organischen Chemie als tert-Butylgruppe verwendet. Dient als Zwischenprodukt bei der Herstellung von Pharmazeutika und synthetischen Aromastoffen.

Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit Äther und Ethanol. Nicht mit Wasser mischbar.
