Description
Sulfolane is used in the chemical industry as a solvent for extractive distillation and chemical reactions. It is used to separate aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene, toluene and xylenes), to separate n-propyl alcohol and sec-butyl alcohol. It is also used to purify natural gas streams and for fractionation of fatty acids into saturated and unsaturated components and as a reaction solvent for the preparation of aromatic sulfonic acids, pyridines, isocyanates and pharmaceuticals. It can also be involved in the halogen exchange process and polymerization process. It is used as a plasticizer and curing agent.

Sulfolan wird in der chemischen Industrie als Lösungsmittel für die extraktive Destillation sowie chemische Reaktionen verwendet. Es wird zur Trennung aromatischer Kohlenwasserstoffe (Benzol, Toluol und Xylen), zur Trennung von n-Propylalkohol und sec-Butylalkohol verwendet. Es wird auch zur Reinigung von Erdgasströmen und zur Fraktionierung von Fettsäuren in gesättigte und ungesättigte Komponenten sowie als Reaktionslösungsmittel zur Herstellung von aromatischen Sulfonsäuren, Pyridinen, Isocyanaten und Pharmazeutika verwendet. ES kann auch am Halogen-Austauschprozess und am Polymerisationsprozess beteiligt werden. Es wird als Weichmacher und Härter verwendet.
Löslichkeit
Vollständig mit Wasser mischbar.
Hinweise
Halten Sie den Behälter dicht verschlossen. Kühl und trocken in einem gut versiegelten Behälter lagern. Nicht kompatibel mit Oxidationsmitteln.
