Sodium-1-octanesulfonate is used as a reagent for HPLC analysis of organic compounds, and more specifically, peptides and proteins. It is also extensively used as an ion pairing agent. Sodium-1-octanesulfonate is found to interact with human serum albumin. It is also used as an ion complexation agent for N-nitrosodiethanolamine.

Anwendungen
Natrium-1-Octansulfonat wird als Reagenz für die HPLC-Analyse organischer Verbindungen, insbesondere Peptide und Proteine, verwendet. Wird auch häufig als Ionenpaarbildungsreagenz verwendet. Natrium-1-Octansulfonat interagiert mit Humanserumalbumin. Wird zudem als Ionenkomplexierungsreagenz für N-Nitrosodiethanolamin verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Wasser, bildet eine klare und farblose Lösung.

Hinweise
Natrium-D-Gluconat ist bei normalen Temperaturen stabil.
