Rhodanine inhibits the multiplication of echovirus 12 and the development of virus-induced morphologic changes. It has been used in tannase assay in cultures of tannin degrading fungi. It possess anticonvulsant, antibacterial, antiviral and antidiabetic activities.

Anwendungen
Rhodanin hemmt die Vermehrung des Echovirus 12 und die Entwicklung von virusinduzierten morphologischen Veränderungen. Es wird in Tannase-Assays in Kulturen von Tannin-abbauenden Pilzen verwendet. Es besitzt antikonvulsive, antibakterielle, antivirale und antidiabetische Aktivitäten.

Wasserlöslich (2.25 g/l bei 20 °C).

Hinweise
Stabil unter empfohlenen Lagerbedingungen. Nicht kompatibel mit Oxidationsmitteln.
