Potassium hydrogen phosphate is used as a fertilizer, food additive, buffering agent, in molecular biology, biochemistry and chromatography. It is useful to increase the partition coefficients of amino acids in aqueous two-phase systems. It plays an important role for increase in rice grain yield by spraying chemicals including ferric chloride, dipotassium hydrogen phosphate and salicylic acid.

Anwendungen
Kaliumhydrogenphosphat wird als Düngemittel, Lebensmittelzusatzstoff, Puffermittel, in der Molekularbiologie, Biochemie und Chromatographie verwendet. Es ist sinnvoll, die Partitionskoeffizienten von Aminosäuren in wässrigen Zweiphasensystemen zu erhöhen. Es spielt eine wichtige Rolle bei der Steigerung der Reiskornerträge durch das Sprühen von Chemikalien wie Eisenchlorid, Di-Kaliumhydrogenphosphat und Salicylsäure.

Löslichkeit
Wasserlöslich. Schwer löslich in Alkohol.
