Potassium bromide is widely used as an anticonvulsant and a sedative. Also used in the preparation of stable Pd nanocubes that si used in immunolabeling. Potassium bromide is used for the purification of Sarcocystis neurona sporocysts by discontinuous density gradient centrifugation. May be used for removal of peripheral membrane proteins.
