Potassium bromide is used as a veterinary drug, as an antiepileptic medication for dogs. It used for removal of peripheral membrane proteins. Potassium bromide and sodium perborate play an important role for mild and regioselective oxidative bromination of anilines. Its Pellet is useful for fine structural characteristics by infared spectroscopy.
