Perylene is used as a fluorescent and a chemiluminescent agent in the cytochemistry of membranes. It serves as a blue-emitting dopant material in organic light emitting diodes. It finds application as an organic photoconductor.

Anwendungen

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Chloroform, Kohlenstoffdisulfid und Benzol. Schwer löslich in Alkohol und Ethylether. Unlöslich in Wasser.
