Beschreibung

p-Toluenesulfonic acid monohydrate is used as a catalyst in the synthesis of resveratrol, in oxane derivatives as an antimalarial agent, as substituted piperidine and unsymmetrical benzyl. It acts as a catalyst in the preparation of 1,3,5-trisubstituted pyrazoles derivatives, selenated ketene dithioacetals, triazoloquinazolinone and benzimidazoquinazolinone derivatives. It also serves as an intermediate in the esterification and in reductive amination reactions.

Anwendungen
P-Toluensulfonsäure-Monohydrat wird als Katalysator bei der Synthese von Resveratrol, in Oxan-Derivaten als Antimalariamittel, als Substituiertes Piperidin und unsymmetrisches Benzyl verwendet. Es wirkt als Katalysator bei der Herstellung von 1,3,5-trissubstituierten Pyrazolderivaten, selenierten Keten-Dithioacetalen, Triazolinazolinon- und Benzimidazoquinazolinon-Derivaten. Sie dient auch als Zwischenprodukt bei der Veresterung und bei reduktiven Aminierungsreaktionen.

Hygroskopisch. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln und starken Basen.
