Octanoyl chloride is used to produce adhesives. It is used as an acylating agent for a variety of compounds such as sugars (e.g. Sucrose, aromatic compounds (e.g. Anisole and monoglycerides.

Anwendungen

Löslichkeit
Löslich in organischen Lösungsmitteln (Aceton, Chloroform, Toluol, THF). Es hydrolysiert in Wasser.

Hinweise
Feuchtigkeitsempfindlich. Nicht kompatibel mit Basen, Alkoholen, Aminen und Oxidationsmitteln. Nicht in der Nähe von Alkohol und Aminen aufbewahren.
