Intense blue dye used in histochemistry determinations.Nitro Blue Tetrazolium chloride is used to confirm diagnosis of chronic granulomatous disease. It is a microscopic stain, which is used to detect dehydrogenases and alkaline phosphatase. It acts as an NADPH-diaphorase substrate that competitively inhibits nitric oxide synthase. Further, it is used in immunology for detection of alkaline phosphatase. In addition to this, it acts as an oxidant.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. Anwendungen
Intensiver blauer Farbstoff, der in histochemischen Bestimmungen verwendet wird. Nitroblau-Tetrazoliumchlorid wird zur Bestätigung der Diagnose chronischer granulomatöser Erkrankungen verwendet. Es handelt sich um eine mikroskopische Färbung, die zur Erkennung von Dehydrogenasen und alkalischer Phosphatase verwendet wird. Es fungiert als NADPH-Diaphorase-Substrat, das die Stickoxid-Synthase kompetitiv hemmt. Darüber hinaus wird es in der Immunologie zum Nachweis alkalischer Phosphatase verwendet. Zudem wirkt es als Oxidationsmittel.

Löslich in Wasser, Ethanol und Methanol.

Hinweise
