Description

Acts against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Neomycin Sulfate, MP Biomedicals is produced by Streptomyces containing a minimum of 85% neomycin B.

Dieses Produkt wirkt durch Bindung an die 30S- und 50S-Untereinheiten, wodurch Fehlcodierung und Hemmung der Initiation und Elongtaion während der Proteinsynthese verursacht werden. Neomycin blockiert auch spannungsempfindliche Ca2+-Kanäle, ohne den Na+/Ca2+-Antiporter in Neuronen zu beeinflussen.

Anwendungen:

  • Als Selektionsmittel für prokaryotische Zellen, die mit dem neo-selektierbaren Markergen transformiert werden
  • Zur Untersuchung otototoxischer Nebenwirkungen von Antibiotika und von Thrombozyten-abgeleiteten Wachstumsfaktorreaktionen bei bestimmten Fibroblasten
  • Bei der Extraktion von nuklearen Phosphatidyllinositol-4,5-Bisphosphat-Interacting-Proteinen
  • Es wird für die Verwendung in Zellkulturanwendungen bei 50 mg/ml empfohlen
