Anwendungen
Nalidixsäure ist ein antimikrobielles synthetisches 1,8-Naphthyridin. Es wird auch als Inhibitor bei der bakteriellen DNA-Gyrase verwendet. Es spielt eine wichtige Rolle bei der Behandlung von Harnwegsinfektionen, die durch anfällige gramnegative Mikroorganismen verursacht werden, darunter die meisten E. Coli-, Enterobacter-, Klebsiella-Arten und Proteus-Arten.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Diethylether, Aceton, Methylenchlorid, Chloroform und Methanol. Unlöslich in Wasser.

Hinweise
Lichtempfindlich und luftempfindlich. Kühl lagern. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln.
