DPC is a potent, non-specific blocker of Cl- channel and chloride-bicarbonate exchange. DPC also inhibits CFTR (cystic fibrosis transmembrane regulator) ATPase activity. It is used to detect vanadium in steel.

Anwendungen
DPC ist ein potenter, unspezifischer Blocker des Cl- Kanal- und Chlorid-Bikarbonat-Austausches. DPC hemmt auch die CFTR-Aktivität (Cystischer Fibrose-Transmembran-Regler) der ATPase. Es wird zur Erkennung von Vanadium in Stahl verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Ethanol, DMSO (50 mg/ml), heißem Alkohol und Methanol. Unlöslich in Wasser.
