Myricetin is used as an antioxidant. It is a cell-permeable flavonoid used in inflammatory, diabetes, and cancer studies. It is effective in protecting neurons against oxidative stresses. Further, it inhibits yeast alfa-glucosidase,1 glyoxalase I in vitro and bovine milk xanthine oxidase.

Anwendungen
Myricetin wird als Antioxidans verwendet. Ist ein zelldurchlässiges Flavonoid, das in Entzündiungs-, Diabetes- und Krebsstudien verwendet wird. Schützt Neuronen wirksam vor oxidativen Spannungen. Darüber hinaus hemmt es die Alfa-Glucosidase,1-Glyoxalase I von Hefe in vitro und bovine Milchxanthinoxidase.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Dimethylsulfoxid, Dimethylformamid und Ethanol. Unlöslich in Wasser.  

Hinweise
Kühl lagern. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln.
