Anwendungen
Methylendiphosphonsäure wird als radioaktives Bildgebungsmittel verwendet, das hauptsächlich in der Skelettszintigrafie verwendet wird. Da sie von einer Vielzahl von Tumoren absorbiert wird, ist sie für den Nachweis von Neoplasmen nützlich.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Wasser, Dimethylsulfoxid und Methanol. Schwer löslich in wasserfreiem Ethanol. Unlöslich in Methylenchlorid.

Kühl lagern. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Basen.
