MES monohydrate is a biological buffer often referred to as Good’s buffer. It is useful for cell culture media and protein based buffer formulations to maintain a stable environment in solution. It is also used in the purification bioprocesses of antibodies, peptides, proteins, blood components and growth factors. It is a useful resolving agent for very small proteins on bis-tris gels. Buffer solutions are used as a means of keeping pH at a nearly constant value in a wide variety of chemical applications.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.

Anwendungen
MES-Monohydrat ist ein biologischer Puffer, der oft als Allzweck-Puffer bezeichnet wird. Es ist nützlich für Zellkulturmedien und proteinbasierte Pufferformulierungen, um eine stabile Umgebung in der Lösung zu erhalten. Es wird auch bei der Aufreinigung von Bioprozessen von Antikörpern, Peptiden, Proteinen, Blutbestandteilen und Wachstumsfaktoren eingesetzt. Es ist ein nützliches Auftrennungsmittel für sehr kleine Proteine auf Bis-Tris-Gelen. Pufferlösungen dienen dazu, den pH-Wert in einer Vielzahl chemischer Anwendungen nahezu konstant zu halten.
