Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 μg, 10 μg and 20 μg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots, aliquots below 20 μL are not recommended. Please never store a kinase diluted. MARK4 is a serine/threonine kinase that is likely to be directly involved in microtubule organization in neuronal cells. The encoded protein is associated with the centrosome throughout mitosis and may be involved in cell cycle control. Expression of MARK4 is a potential marker for cancer, and the encoded protein may also play a role in Alzheimer's disease. Pseudogenes of MARK4 are located on both the short and long arm of chromosome 3. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for MARK4.
