Hot start

Lyo-ready SuperScript III Flash Reverse Transcriptase is inactive at ambient temperatures due to the hot start mechanism, which enables room temperature reaction setup and improved specificity and consistency of RT-qPCR results. When used in conjunction with hot start DNA polymerase, such as Lyo-ready Platinum™ II Taq DNA Polymerase, a fully assembled master mix can be stored at room temperature for up to 24 hours, enabling high-throughput applications and compatibility with automation and point-of-care assay development. Due to enhanced specificity, this pair of enzymes also enables multiplex RT-qPCR of up to five targets.

Lyo-ready SuperScript III Flash Reverse Transcriptase is a glycerol-free enzyme that ensures compatibility with microfluidics, air-drying, and lyophilization technologies.
