Imidazole-4-carboxaldehyde is a 4-formyl derivative of imidazole used in the preparation of C17,20-lyase inhibitor for the treatment of androgen-dependent prostate cancer. It is also used in the synthesis of other biologically active compounds such as antimalarial drugs, fabrication of colorimetric chemosensor.

Anwendungen
Imidazol-4-Carboxaldehyd ist ein 4-Formyl-Derivat von Imidazol, das bei der Herstellung von C17,20-Lyase-Inhibitoren zur Behandlung von Androgen-abhängigem Prostatakarzinom verwendet wird. Es wird auch bei der Synthese anderer biologisch aktiver Verbindungen wie Antimalariamitteln und bei der Herstellung kolorimetrischer Chemosensoren verwendet.
