The Human Interleukin 1 Receptor 4 (Hu IL-1R4/IL-1RL1) ELISA quantitates Hu IL-1R4 in human serum, plasma, or cell culture medium. The assay will exclusively recognize both natural and recombinant Hu IL-1R4. Principle of the method The Human IL-11R4 solid-phase sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is designed to measure the amount of the target bound between a matched antibody pair. A target-specific antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate. Samples, standards, or controls are then added into these wells and bind to the immobilized (capture) antibody. The sandwich is formed by the addition of the second (detector) antibody, a substrate solution is added that reacts with the enzyme-antibody-target complex to produce measurable signal. The intensity of this signal is directly proportional to the concentration of target present in the original specimen. ST2 gehört zur Interleukin-1-Rezeptorfamilie mit drei Ig-ähnlichen (Immunglobulin-ähnlichen) C2-Typ-Domänen und einer TIR-Domäne. ST2 ist ein Rezeptor für Interleukin-33 (IL-33), der nach einer Stimulation die Signalmoleküle MYD88, IRAK1, IRAK4 und TRAF6 rekrutiert, gefolgt von einer Phosphorylation von MAPK3/ERK1 und/oder MAPK1/ERK2, MAPK14 und MAPK8. Berichte schlagen auch eine mögliche Rolle in der Funktion von T-Helferzellen sowie im Zellwachstum vor. Es wurden drei Isoformen von ST2 erkannt, wobei Isoform C eine Membranform und Isoform B eine sezernierte Form ist.
