Beschreibung

This shuttle vector contains the complete ORF for the gene of interest, along with a Kozak consensus sequence for optimal translation initiation. It is inserted NotI to AscI. The gene insert is flanked with convenient multiple cloning sites which can be used to easily cut and transfer the gene cassette into your desired expression vector.

  • B3GALNT1 beta-1,3-Nacetylgalactosaminyltransferase 1 (globoside blood group) [ Homo sapiens (human) ]
  • Also known as: P; P1; GLOB; GLCT3; galT3; Gb4Cer; B3GALT3; beta3Gal-T3
  • B3GALNT1 is a member of the beta1,3-galactosyltransferase (beta3GalT) gene family.
  • This family encodes type II membrane-bound glycoproteins with diverse enzymatic functions using different donor substrates (UDP-galactose and UDP-N-acetylglucosamine) and different acceptor sugars (Nacetylglucosamine, galactose, Nacetylgalactosamine).
  • B3GALNT1 does not use N-acetylglucosamine as an acceptor sugar at all.
  •  The B3GALNT1 insert is sequence verified and the entire plasmid DNA and insert translated sequences are provided.
