Heptafluorobutyric acid is an ion pair reagent for reverse-phase HPLC. It is used in the sequencing, synthesis, and solubilizing of proteins and peptides. It is used as mobile phase modifier for enhancement of selectivity in the HPLC analysis of histone proteins. It is an effective additive for zinc electrodeposition.

Anwendungen
Heptafluorbuttersäure ist ein Ionenpaarreagenz für die Umkehrphase-HPLC. Es wird bei der Sequenzierung, Synthese und Solubilisierung von Proteinen und Peptiden eingesetzt. Es wird als mobiler Phasenmodifikator zur Erhöhung der Selektivität in der HPLC-Analyse von Histonproteinen eingesetzt. Es ist ein wirksames Additiv für die Zinkelektrolyse.

Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit Wasser, Toluol, Äther, Ethanol und Benzol.       

Hinweise
Hygroskopisch. Lichtempfindlich. Nicht kompatibel mit Basen, Oxidationsmitteln und Reduktionsmitteln.
