Description

Employed as a nucleobase incorporated into biological nucleic acids. Guanine is suitable reagent used to investigate the mechanism of electrochemical oxidation of guanine and adenine using a glassy carbon microelectrode and cyclic and differential pulse voltammetry. It may be used in the preparation of mixed-sequence peptide nucleic acid (PNA) monomers.

Anwendungen
Wird als Nukleobase verwendet, die in biologische Nukleinsäuren integriert ist. Guanin ist ein geeignetes Reagenz zur Untersuchung des Mechanismus der elektrochemischen Oxidation von Guanin und Adenin mit einer Kohlenstoff-Mikroelektrode aus Glas und einer zyklischen und differenziellen Puls-Voltammetrie. Es kann zur Herstellung von Peptid-Nukleinsäure-Monomeren (PNA) mit gemischten Sequenzen verwendet werden.

Löslichkeit
Unlöslich in Wasser. Löslich in Ammoniakwasser, KOH-Lösungen, verdünnten Säuren und 1N NaOH (0.1 M).
