Hinweis zur Maximaltemperatur: Der Kontaktwärmetest eines Handschuhs prüft dessen Isolierfähigkeit. Es bestimmt die maximale Temperatur, bei der der Handschuh 15 Sekunden lang Schutz bietet, ohne dass die Temperatur im Handschuh um 10 ansteigt.°C. Stufe 4 ist die höchste Leistungsstufe. Der Test wird bei Raumtemperatur durchgeführt. Der Handschuh steht in ständigem Kontakt mit dem heißen Objekt.
