Beschreibung

Dipropylene glycol, mixture of isomers is used as a solvent, plasticizer, polymerization initiator and monomer. It acts as an additive used in perfumes, skin and hair care products. It is an active ingredient in commercial fog fluid, which is used as an entertainment in fog machines. Further, it is used as an intermediate in polyurethane polyols, alkyd resins and non-reinforced polyesters. In addition to this, it is used in dyes, paints, hydraulic brake fluids and cutting oils.

Anwendungen
Dipropylenglycol, Mischung aus Isomeren, wird als Lösungsmittel, Weichmacher, Polymerisationsinitiator und Monomer verwendet. Es dient als Additiv für Parfüme, Haut- und Haarpflegeprodukte. Es ist in handelsüblicher Nebelflüssigkeit enthalten, die in Nebelmaschinen zu Unterhaltungszwecken verwendet wird. Darüber hinaus wird es als Zwischenprodukt in Polyurethan-Polyolen, Alkydharzen und nicht verstärkten Polyestern verwendet. Zudem wird es in Farbstoffen, Farben, hydraulischen Bremsflüssigkeiten und Schneidölen verwendet.

Mischbar mit kaltem Wasser, heißem Wasser, Methanol, Diethylether und Ethanol.

Hygroskopisch. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln.
