Diphenyl phosphate is used in the manufacture of phosphoric acid diesters such as triphenyl phosphate, trixylenyl phosphate, isodecyl diphenyl phosphate, cresyl diphenyl phosphate and isopropylphenyl diphenyl phosphate. It is widely used as a protective agent for hydroxyl group in organic synthesis. It finds application as an additive for paints and coatings.

Anwendungen
Diphenylphosphat wird bei der Herstellung von Phosphorsäurediestern wie Triphenylphosphat, Trixylenylphosphat, Isodecyldiphenylphosphat, Cresyldiphenylphosphat und Isopropylphenyldiphenylphosphat verwendet. Wird in der organischen Synthese weit verbreitet als Schutzmittel für Hydroxylgruppen eingesetzt. Findet Anwendung als Additiv für Farben und Beschichtungen.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Benzol. Nicht in Wasser löslich.

Hinweise
Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln.
