Vitamin B-5D-Pantothenic acid calcium salt hydrate acts as a precursor in the biosynthesis of coenzyme A. It also involved in the catabolism of fatty acids, preparation of heme and the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. It is involved in the regulation of gene expression and in signal transduction. Further, it is used in sphingolipids, cholesterol and steroid hormones.

Anwendungen
Vitamin B-5D-Pantothensäure-Calciumsalzinhydrat wirkt als Vorstufe bei der Biosynthese des Coenzyms A. Zudem beteiligt am Katabolismus von Fettsäuren, an der Herstellung von Häme und am Neurotransmitter Acetylcholin. Beteiligt an der Regulation der Genexpression und an der Signalweiterleitung.
