Cytochalasin B is used for characterizing some of the polymerization properties of actin, and in studies on cytokinesis. Probe for the two hexose-transport systems in rat L6 myoblasts. And induces DNA fragmentation, inhibits cell division, and disrupts many cell processes. Inhibits glucose transport.

Anwendungen
Cytochalasin B wird zur Charakterisierung einiger Polymerisationseigenschaften von Aktin und in Studien zur Zytokinese verwendet. Sonde für die beiden Hexose-Transportsysteme in Ratten-L6-Myoblasten.
