Cyclooctane is used as solvent, reagents and synthetic organic intermediates and it can be used to produce cyclooctanone. It is also used as an intermediate in production of plastics, fibers, adhesives and coatings.

Kühl lagern. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Geöffnete Behälter müssen sorgfältig abgedichtet und aufrecht gehalten werden, um ein Auslaufen zu vermeiden. Nicht kompatibel mit Oxidationsmitteln.
