An important compound in organic photochemistry and perfumery as well as in organic synthesis. Used in the antibiotics synthesis of 6-APA and 7-ACA of the carboxyl protecting groups and other organic compounds. Used as organic pigment and medical intermediate. It is used as a photoinitiator of UV-curing applications in inks, adhesive, coatings and optical fiber.

Anwendungen
Eine wichtige Verbindung in der organischen Photochemie und Parfümerie sowie in der organischen Synthese. Wird bei der Antibiotika-Synthese von 6-APA und 7-ACA der Carboxylschutzgruppen und anderer organischer Verbindungen verwendet. Wird als organisches Pigment und medizinisches Zwischenprodukt verwendet. Es wird als Photoinitiator für UV-härtende Anwendungen in Farben, Klebstoffen, Beschichtungen und Glasfaser verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Äther, Benzol, Chloroform und anderen organischen Lösungsmitteln.

Hinweise
In einem dicht verschlossenen Behälter aufbewahren. In einem kühlen, trockenen, gut belüfteten Bereich lagern, der sich nicht mit inkompatiblen Substanzen in Verbindung bringt. Kühl aufbewahren. (Unter 4 C/39 F lagern.)
