alpha-Ionone, is used in many floral accords. Gives a violet flower nuance to compositions, but is also used in rose, woody, amber, balsamic, and powdery fragrances. It is also used in perfumery, flavoring, and vitamin A (retinol) production for cosmetics and toiletries. beta isomer shows a less floral odor than the alpha. It has good substantivity and is used in all areas of perfumery.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. Anwendungen
Alpha-Ionone, wird in vielen floralen Akkorden verwendet. Ergibt eine violette Blumennuance in Zusammensetzungen, wird aber auch in den Rosen-, holzigen, Bernstein-, balsamischen und pulverigen Düften verwendet. Wird auch in der Parfümerie, in der Aromaherstellung und in der Vitamin-A-Produktion (Retinol) für Kosmetika und Toilettenartikel verwendet. Das Beta-Isomer weist einen weniger floralen Geruch auf als das Alpha-Produkt. Hat eine gute Substanz und wird in allen Bereichen der Parfümerie verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Ethanol-Festölen, Propylenglycol. Schwer löslich in Alkohol, Äther, Mineralöl.

Hinweise
Kühl lagern. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Lichtempfindlich. Stabil unter empfohlenen Lagerbedingungen. Von starken Oxidationsmitteln fernhalten.
