Anwendungen
Zur Fällung von Nukleinsäuren und Vorbereitung von Gelfärbungen für die Proteingel-Elektrophorese. Acetat-Puffer für die Amin-Kopplung von Proteinen an Oberflächen von Biacore Sensorchips. Studien von mikrobiellen Pili deuten darauf hin, dass Natriumacetat die K99-Produktion in E. coli-Stämmen, kultiviert auf einem minimalen Medium, unterdrückt. Experimente haben gezeigt, dass NaOAc, wenn es zu Lebensmittelabfallkompostierungssystemen hinzugefügt wird, wirksam gegen die schädlichen Auswirkungen organischer Säuren sein kann, die im Kompostierungsprozess produziert werden.
