4-Nitrophenol is used as a precursor to prepare phenetidine, acetophenetidne and pH indicator. Its carboxylate ester derivatives are involved as an active component for the construction of amide moieties in peptide synthesis. It is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of paracetamol and N-acetyl-p-aminophenol dyestuffs.

Anwendungen
4-Nitrophenol wird als Vorstufe bei der Herstellung von Phenetidin, Phenacetin und pH-Indikatoren verwendet. Seine Carboxylatesterderivate sind als aktive Komponenten am Aufbau von funktionellen Amidgruppen an der Peptidsynthese beteiligt. Es wird als Zwischenprodukt bei der Synthese von Paracetamol und N-Acetyl-p-aminophenol-Farbstoffen verwendet.

Frei löslich in Alkohol, Chloroform, Ether. Frei löslich in Aceton. Schwer in Wasser löslich.

Hinweise
