Anwendungen
4-Methylumbelliferon wird zur Bestimmung von Salpetersäure und als Standard in der fluorometrischen Bestimmung der Enzymaktivität eingesetzt. Auch in der Gallentherapie verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Alkohol. Unlöslich in kaltem Wasser. Löslich in Essigsäure, Alkali und Ammoniumhydroxid. Geringfügig löslich in heißem Wasser, Chloroform und Diethylether.

Hinweise
Kühl lagern. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Basen und starken Oxidationsmitteln.
