4-Methyl-1H-pyrazole is used as an antidote in methanol and ethylene glycol poisoning. It is also employed as an alcohol dehydrogenase inhibitor. It acts a ligand in coordination chemistry. Further, it serves as an intermediate in organic synthesis.

Anwendungen
4-Methyl-1H-pyrazol wird als Gegenmittel bei Methanol- und Ethylenglykolvergiftungen verwendet. Es wird auch als Alkohol-Dehydrogenase-Hemmer eingesetzt. Es wirkt als Ligand in der Koordinationschemie. Darüber hinaus dient es als Zwischenprodukt in der organischen Synthese.

Mischbar mit Wasser, Äther, Benzol und Alkohol.

Hygroskopisch. Inkompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln, starken Säuren, sauren Chloriden, sauren Anhydriden und Chloroformiaten.
