4-(Aminomethyl)benzoic acid acts as an unnatural amino acid derivative. It is also used as a type 2 antifibrinolytic agent. Further, it reacts with 2-methyl-isothiourea sulfate to prepare 4-guanidinomethylbenzoic acid.

Anwendungen
4-(Aminomethyl)benzoesäure wirkt als unnatürliches Aminosäurederivat. Es wird auch als Typ-2-Antifibrinolytikum verwendet. Außerdem erzeugt es in einer Reaktion mit 2-Methyl-isothioureasulfat 4-Guanidinomethylbenzoesäure.

Löslichkeit
Schwer in Wasser löslich. Unlöslich in Ethanol, Benzol und Chloroform.

Hinweise
Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln, starken Reduktionsmitteln und starken Basen.
