3-Bromo-1-propanol is used in the synthesis of fluorescent halide-sensitive quinolinium dyes, chiral, quaternary prolines through cyclization of quaternary amino acids and molten salt-polymers. It is utilized for the study of micellar media and in microemulsions based on cationic or a nonionic surfactant by reacting with phenols. It acts as a grafting agent in the synthesis of recyclable reagents and an intermediate in the synthesis of organic molecules.

Anwendungen
3-Bromo-1-Propanol wird bei der Synthese von fluoreszierenden halogenid-empfindlichen Chinoliniumfarbstoffen, chiralen, quaternären Prolinen durch die Cyclisierung quaternärer Aminosäuren und geschmolzener Salzpolymere verwendet. Wird für die Untersuchung von mizellären Medien und in Mikroemulsionen verwendet, die auf kationischen oder nichtionischen Tensiden basieren, die aus der Reaktion mit Phenolen resultieren. Dient als Pfropfmittel bei der Synthese von recycelbaren Reagenzien und als Zwischenprodukt bei der Synthese organischer Moleküle.

Löslichkeit
Mit Wasser mischbar. Leicht mischbar mit Ethanol und Äther.

Hinweise
Kühl lagern. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln.
