3-Benzyl-5-(2-hydroxyethyl)-4-methylthiazolium chloride, aliphatic aldehydes undergo the acyloin condensation in the presence of this catalyst and mild base. It acts as a catalyst for the addition of aliphatic and heterocyclic aldehydes to α,β-unsaturated ketones, nitriles and esters.

Anwendungen
3-Benzyl-5-(2-Hydroxyethyl)-4-Methylthiazoliumchlorid, aliphatische Aldehyde werden in Anwesenheit dieses Katalysators und einer milden Basis der Acyloin-Kondensation unterzogen. Dient als Katalysator für die Zugabe aliphatischer und heterocyclischer Aldehyde zu α,β-ungesättigten Ketonen, Nitrilen und Estern.

Hygroskopisch. Von Wasser und Oxidationsmitteln fernhalten. Vor Feuchtigkeit und Wasser schützen. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln.
