3-Amino-1,2,4-triazole is an inhibitor of mitochondrial and chloroplast function. Commercial grade 3- amino-1,2,4-triazole (which generally contains catalase anti-inhibitory impurities) is used as a cotton defoliant.

3-Amino-1,2,4-Triazol ist ein Hemmer der mitochondrialen und Chloroplastfunktion. 3-Amino-1,2,4-Triazol in handelsüberlicher Qualität (das in der Regel antihemmende Katalaseverunreinigungen enthält) wird als Entlaubungsmittel für Baumwolle verwendet.
Löslichkeit
Es ist löslich in Wasser, Methanol, Ethanol und Chloroform und in Ethylacetat kaum löslich. Es ist nicht löslich in Ether und Aceton.
Hinweise
Getrocknet bei -20 °C lagern. An einem kühlen Ort aufbewahren. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Empfohlene Lagertemperatur: -20 °C. Von starken Oxidationsmitteln, starken Säuren, Kupfer, Eisen und Eisensalzen fernhalten.
