2-phenylpropionaldehyde to give acetophenone using 1 atm molecular oxygen as oxidant was catalyzed by Ce(IV), V(IV) and Bronsted acids. It is used to produce 3-hydroxy-2-methyl-2-phenyl-propionaldehyde. This reaction will need reagent water and K2CO3.

Anwendungen
2-Phenylpropionaldehyd wurde mit Ce(IV), V(IV) und Brönsted-Säuren katalysiert, um mit 1 atm molekularem Sauerstoff als Oxidationsmittel Acetophenon zu ergeben. Es wird zur Herstellung von 3-Hydroxy-2-methyl-2-phenyl-propionaldehyd verwendet. Für diese Reaktion werden Reagenzwasser und K2CO3 benötigt.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in den meisten Festölen, Propylenglycol. Unlöslich in Glycerin.

Hinweise
Luftempfindlich. Behälter dicht verschlossen lassen. Kühl und trocken in einem gut versiegelten Behälter lagern.
