1-Organosulfonyloxy-1, 2-benziodoxol-3-(1H)-ones (3, 4, 5) can be prepared in one step from 2-iodosobenzoic acid and the corresponding sulfonic acids. 2-carboxydiphenyliodonium salts was prepared by the acid-catalyzed condensation of 2-iodosobenzoic acid with benzene, mesitylene, and cyclohexylbenzene.

1-Organosulfonyloxy-1, 2-Benziodoxol-3-(1H)-on (3, 4, 5) können in einem Schritt aus 2-Iodosobenzoesäure und den entsprechenden Sulfonsäuren hergestellt werden. 2-Carboxydiphenyliodoniumsalze wurden durch die säurekatalysierte Kondensation von 2-Iodosobenzoesäure mit Benzol, Mesitylen und Cyclohexylbenzol hergestellt.

Unlöslich in Wasser.
