12-Molybdophosphoric acid hydrate is used as a precursor to hybrid organic-inorganic based molecular batteries with application as cation-insertion electrode. It finds application as an analytical reagent in thin layer chromatography for staining phenolics, hydrocarbon waxes, alkaloids and steroids. It acts as a reactant for the preparation of catalysts for the nitration of aromatic compounds, highly dispersed MoOx/CNTs (carbon nanotubes) as a support for Pt catalysts and anchored Wilkinson catalyst.

Anwendungen
12-Molybdatphosphorsäure Hydrat wird als Vorstufe für hybride molekulare Batterien auf organisch-anorganischer Basis zur Anwendung als Kationeneinsteck-Elektrode verwendet. Es dient als analytisches Reagenz in der Dünnschichtchromatographie zur Färbung von Phenolen, Kohlenwasserstoffwachsen, Alkaloiden und Steroiden. Es fungiert als Reaktionsmittel bei der Herstellung von Katalysatoren zur Nitrierung aromatischer Verbindungen, hoch dispergierter MoOx/CNTs (Kohlenstoff-Nanoröhrchen) als Träger für Pt-Katalysatoren und verankerten Wilkinson-Katalysatoren.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Wasser, Ethanol und Ether.

Hinweise
Hygroskopisch. Nicht kompatibel mit organischen Materialien und pulverförmigen Metallen.
