1-Octylamine is used as a precursor to prepare chemicals. It finds application in functional fluids and as a laboratory reagent. Further, it is used as a reactant in the preparation of 2H-indazoles and 1H-indazolones, which are used as myeloperoxidase(MPO) inhibitors.

Anwendungen
1-Octylamin wird als Vorläufer zur Herstellung von Chemikalien verwendet. Es wird für Funktionsflüssigkeiten und als Laborreagenz verwendet. Darüber hinaus wird es als Reaktant bei der Herstellung von2-H-Indazolen und1-H-Indazolen verwendet, die als Myeloperoxidase (MPO)-Hemmer verwendet werden.

Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit Ethanol, Benzol und Ethylacetat. Leicht mit Wasser mischbar.
