1-Butylamine is used as an intermediate for pharmaceuticals, synthetic tanning agents, dyestuffs and emulsifiers. It also plays an important role in the preparation of N,N'-dibutylthiourea, a rubber vulcanization accelerator. It is involved in the preparation of n-butylbenzenesulfonamide, which is a plasticizer of nylon.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.

Anwendungen
1-Butylamin wird als Zwischenprodukt für Pharmazeutika, synthetische Gerbstoffe, Farbstoffe und Emulgatoren verwendet. Es spielt auch eine wichtige Rolle bei der Vorbereitung von N,N′-Dibutylthioharnstoff, einem Kautschukvulkanisierungsbeschleuniger. Es ist an der Herstellung von n-Butylbenzensulfonamid beteiligt, einem Plastifizierer aus Nylon.

Mischbar mit Ethanol und Wasser.

Hinweise
Luftempfindlich. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln, Aluminium, Kupfer, Kupferlegierungen und Säuren.
