1,4-Dichlorobenzene, is used as moth repellant, air fresheners and toilet blocks and general deodorant for garbage and restrom as well as to control fruit borers and ants, may be applied to tobacco seed beds for blue mold control. It is also used as a pharmaceutical intermediate. 1,4-dichlorobenzene is as a used as a minor processing aid in the production of grinding wheels.

Anwendungen
1,4-Dichlorbenzol wird als mottenabweisender Stoff, Lufterfrischer, für Toilettensteine und Geruchstilger für Abfall und Toilettenräume sowie zur Bekämpfung von Obstschädlingen und Ameisen verwendet und kann auf Tabaksaatbeete zur Bekämpfung von Blauschimmel aufgetragen werden. Es wird auch als pharmazeutisches Zwischenprodukt verwendet. 1,4-Dichlorbenzol wird als geringfügige Verarbeitungshilfe bei der Herstellung von Schleifscheiben verwendet.

Es ist unlöslich in Wasser.

Hinweise
Kühl lagern. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Unverträglich mit starken Oxidationsmitteln, Aluminium und seinen Legierungen, einigen Kunststoffen.
